Last Day of Spring Break

Never thought I would start a blog. But, here I am starting one. Not sure just what I will write about on here, or if anyone will even think this is an interesting blog. We'll just have to take it one day at a time.

I'm 56, a college student, Mom of 2 grown sons, Wife to Jim, Friend to many, Sister to 3 sisters and one brother, Daughter and ME. For the last almost 15 years, I have been living in NorthCentral Montana. This is not my favorite kind of country. Mostly wheat fields, cattle ranches and part of The Great Plains, so not many trees. I grew up in Western Oregon, near Portland. I miss the ocean, green and trees!!!! When DH retires, we plan on going back across the Rockies to OR or WA. We both will be glad to to be in green country again.

This is my last day for Spring Break. Back to the books and classes tomorrow. I will be so glad when this term is over with!

For you who don't know me, I went back to college three years ago after being out of school over 35 years. This has been a great adventure, but I must admit to being tired of the constant homework. This sure has made my brain work. I will have at least 2 more years before graduation, then hopefully, find a part time job as a Medical Assistant. That has been my dream for many many years.

My passion is quilting. Almost every part of the quilting process is something I enjoy. I have been sewing since I was in 3rd grade, a looooooong time ago. Crocheting, knitting, embroidery, crewelwork and other crafts temporarily caught my attention, but quilting never has been boring. There are always new techniques, patterns or designs to make. I love the feel of fabric as well! Beyond the traditional, which I love, I also design my own quilts and venture into the art quilt venue. I belong to several online quilting and artquilt groups. The people on these groups are inspiring and fun. It is wonderful to read about others and their quilt journey.

Well, I think this is enough to get started. I'm am not sure just what will be written about in future blog enteries or when. Leave a comment, lets get to know eachother.

Have a grand day, Dear Reader.
